After completing her degree, she acquired invaluable hands-on experience working directly in the trades, focusing specifically on residential framing and electrical work. This practical experience has deeply enriched her design approach, enabling her to create more thoughtful and informed designs.

Inspired by the pioneering work of Le Corbusier, Kayt places a strong emphasis on the human element in her projects, aiming to craft spaces that are both highly functional and warmly inviting.

Beyond her professional life, she enjoys pursuing passions such as rock climbing, photography, and oil painting, all of which continually fuel her creativity and provide fresh inspiration for her design work.
